On December 28th, 2022, Robert Winston Holliday, President of the St. Vital Historical Society and Museum, passed away following a long battle with cancer. A driving force behind the Museum, Bob was a passionate storyteller who put his heart into everything he did, from crime reporting to wrestling promotion. Heritage Winnipeg had the pleasure of working with Bob through our Doors Open Winnipeg event, with Bob ensuring the St. Vital Museum was always ready to participate. Future generations will benefit greatly from Bob’s dedication to preserving the community’s history and generosity in sharing it, his efforts and enthusiasm will not be forgotten. Heritage Winnipeg extends our deepest condolences to Bob’s family, friends and colleagues – he will be truly missed.
