Thank You for an Amazing Doors Open Winnipeg 2026!

Heritage Winnipeg would like to give a huge thank you to all of the guests, volunteers, hosts, and sponsors of the Doors Open Winnipeg 2026 who all helped make this weekend a huge success. It was phenomenal to see all the people who came out to celebrate the stories our buildings tell. What an amazing two days exploring our built heritage, beautiful architecture, and rich history!

We would also like to thank the participants of both the social media contest and the scavenger hunt. We love seeing all of your selfies of you enjoying yourselves at Doors Open Winnipeg and we hope you had a great time finding our Golden Boy. Participation in these contests gives you the opportunity to win one of our amazing prize packs! Both contests close on June 5th at 11:59pm.

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote in our 16th annual People’s Choice Awards. Awards are being given in the following categories: Best Tour, Best Architecture, and Best Overall Experience. Voting closes on June 5th at 11:59pm, if you haven’t voted be sure log onto the website to vote for your favourites.

Although Doors Open Winnipeg is over for 2026, you can still celebrate built heritage with our free to download Manitoba Day Activity Booklet for kids, full of fun activities and colouring pages.

If you enjoyed Doors Open Winnipeg, please consider supporting our FREE community event through a donation or by becoming a Heritage Winnipeg member. Your support helps us continue to advocate for and celebrate our built heritage.

We look forward to seeing you again next year on May 2th and 30th to celebrate the stories our buildings tell!

Cheers,
Heritage Winnipeg.
