2025 Red River Heritage Fair Winners
On May 1st, 2025, Heritage Winnipeg’s President, Greg Agnew, had the pleasure of attending the 2025 Red River Heritage Fair as a volunteer judge. The University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre was filled with talented and passionate students sharing their work. These presentations focused on the various aspects of Canadian history and culture and took various forms, including PowerPoint presentations, art pieces, and interactive activities.
In addition to learning about Canadian Heritage from the younger generation, we had the opportunity to sponsor and present three students with Heritage Winnipeg Awards. The awards were presented to projects focused on Winnipeg’s built heritage. This year’s recipients included grade 5 École Marie-Anne-Gaboury student Carly Gulowaty for her project titled “Red River Settlement”, grade 5 Crestview School student Kayla Grantham for her project title “Golden Boy” and grade 9 Grant Park High School student Eudora Toews for her project title “Grey Nuns”. Congratulations to all our winners and thank you for sharing your brilliant work with us!
