Winnipeg Aviation Heritage Virtual Tour

How the Early Years of Commercial Aviation in Winnipeg Connect With Historic Buildings and Sites Across The City

The object of this virtual tour is to show how the beginnings of commercial aviation in Winnipeg date to the immediate post-World War I period. Moreover, this heritage is dispersed throughout the city. It involves many different locations and actors. At the forefront of these efforts were former Royal Air Force, Royal Flying Corps, and Royal Naval Air Service pilots. They were supported by visionary businessmen, jurists and civic leaders.

The virtual tour consists of 80 slides (below) which can be navigated through using the arrows on the left and right side of the slides. Enjoy!
