2024 Red River Heritage Fair Winners

On May 2nd, members of Heritage Winnipeg had the pleasure of attending the 2024 Red River Heritage Fair. The University of Winnipeg’s Duckworth Centre was filled with talented and passionate students sharing their work. These presentations focused on the various aspects of Canadian history and culture and took various forms, including PowerPoint presentations, art pieces, and interactive activities.

In addition to learning about Canadian Heritage from the younger generation, we had the opportunity to present three students with Heritage Winnipeg Awards. This year’s recipients included grade 9 Immanuel Christian student Eliana Jonker for their project titled “Winnipeg’s Oldest Building”, grade 5 Sargent Park School student Ava Balat for their project titled “HBC”, and grade 5 Assiniboine student Ivan Senyk for their project titled “Stony Mountain Institution.” Congratulations to all our winners and thank you for sharing your brilliant work with us!

Thank you to the Red River Heritage Fair for organizing this important event. See you next year!
