Summer Student Opportunity!

Heritage Winnipeg is currently accepting applications for a Doors Open Winnipeg Coordinator funded through Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations. We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic university student passionate about advocating for and celebrating Winnipeg’s built heritage to join our team. This positions will require you to work from our office located in the Exchange District. Applicants must meet the criteria set out by Young Canada Works in Heritage Organizations to be considered.

DOORS OPEN WINNIPEG COORDINATOR

This is a full time position, Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm (37.5 hours per week) or 8:30am to 4:30pm, for 16 weeks with an anticipated start date of May 6th, 2024. The rate of pay is $16.00 per hour. Some flexibility in the hours is possible as the position requires being available for the Doors Open Winnipeg weekend (May 25th and 26th, 2024) and potentially some evening events. The position will include but is not limited to assisting with the planning, coordination and marketing of Doors Open Winnipeg, and the creation and management of Doors Open Winnipeg online content. The ideal candidate is a university student enrolled in a relevant program who possess the following skills, traits, and interests:
– interested in history and built heritage
– familiar with Heritage Winnipeg and Doors Open Winnipeg
– capable of navigating both Mac and Windows operating systems
– competent in using Microsoft Office, Zoom, QuickBooks, WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite and social media platforms
– superior communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
– able to meet tight deadlines
– works well both independently and as a team
– tenacious problem solver
– creative and critical thinker
– strong research and writing skills

Holding up Hope for Holy Trinity
