Let the Province know arts and culture matter to you – Budget 2021 Consultations

Your voice matters. If funding for arts and culture is a high priority for you, let the Province know. The necessary safety and health restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic have hit our sector hard. We were the first to close, and will be the last to reopen. Let’s make sure we are able to reopen.

Providing your input into the budget – into the need for consistent, long-term investment in the arts and culture sector – is critical. Prior to COVID-19, the sector generated more than 22,000 jobs in our province and attracted investment from public and private sources outside of Manitoba that would not otherwise have flowed here. Our sector is also a cornerstone of the Manitoba tourism industry.

Let’s ensure the arts, culture and heritage organizations across the Province, those critical to our economy and to our well-being, can survive the pandemic to flourish again.
