Celebrating Manitoba Day at the MANITOBA MUSEUM

CELEBRATING MANITOBA DAY AT THE MANITOBA MUSEUM - Saturday, May 6, 2017

Over 8,300 people enjoyed a free day at the Manitoba Museum in celebration of Manitoba's 137th birthday!  Heritage Winnipeg, along with many other non-profit organizatons had a special exhibit showcasing our wonderful heritage and culture.

Also on display: cake! Participants were invited to vote for their favourite Manitoba themed dessert in the "caketoba" cake contest. Can you tell that we have a bit of a sweet tooth?








The 2017 Red River Heritage Fair welcomed students from across the city who came together to share stories from Canada's 150th and beyond on Thursday, May 4, 2017 at the  This year, Heritage Winnipeg awarded students from Dufferin Christian and Elmwood High the Heritage Winnipeg award for their informative presentations on the history of the Selkirk Settlers and Winnipeg's eclectic collection of murals.
