St. Vital LibraryLocated at 6 Fermor Avenue, St. Vital Library is the first Winnipeg modernist structure to be designated as a historical structure. The library building was designed by architect, George A. Stewart, and resembles a key-shape. It officially opened in June of 1963. The rich history of the building and its significant architectural character-defining elements have led to a Grade III structure designation on the Buildings Conservation List.
